The XT Series comprises four models, the XT-05, XT-08, XT-12 and XT-15 HiQ (pictured from left to right) and offers a variety of different sized speaker enclosures with differing characteristics. They’ve been designed to satisfy a wide variety of roles in both the install and rental markets and are equally at home being deployed as fills to complement a main PA system in large venues, as the main PA system in smaller venues, or as monitors.

XT-05 is an ideal fill enclosure due to its capability to deliver a high SPL in the MF/HF region and complement larger systems. In distributed applications, sound designers can take advantage of its wide conical directivity pattern offering a smooth off-axis response, where most of the audience is located. Its ultra-compact format and optional white or RAL color program means that it can satisfy any architectural requirement.
XT-05 can be pole-mounted using the 3/8” microphone-stand insert. Other deployments such as wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted or flown are quick and easy, with the ETR5 bracket that offers multiple set-up options and various orientations. |
The XT-08 is an ideal live monitor capable of accurately translating the signature of large systems at FOH position or in control rooms. The XT-08 features high SPL capability and extended LF resources in a compact format. Its coaxial design generates a wide conical directivity pattern with excellent spatialization and no minimum listening distance. Sound designers can also take advantage of its sleek design for discreet fill applications requiring a high SPL.

The ellipsoid directivity of 90° x 60° gives optimized coverage for FOH and fill applications, distributed systems, stage monitoring and more. The compact footprint allows for discreet integration, preserving sightlines. The passive design reduces the need for amplified controller.

The XT-15 HiQ combines all the qualities of a reference stage monitor. It offers power (SPL) in beamwidth, an excellent acoustic isolation with its narrow ellipsoid directivity of 40° x 60°, a high immunity to feedback, an ultra-low profile and low weight for integration and handling, a rugged build and an active design with low latency preset. In addition, sound designers can take advantage of its directivity for narrow fill applications.

With distinct formats, bandwidth, SPL and coverage angles adapted to short throw applications in rental productions and fIxed installations. With studio monitor sound quality, the XT Series convey a natural and transparent sound. Coaxial technology allows for a compact design and constant tonal balance over distance, giving the XT Series smooth coverage for off-axis audiences, no minimum listening distance and high feedback rejection.
The compression driver is mounted directly onto the low-frequency transducer in a bass-reflex tuned enclosure – the compression driver in the XT-08 is 1.5in in diameter while the XT-12 and XT-15 HiQ both have 3in drivers. The obvious advantage of a coaxial design is much better off-axis response consistency in both the vertical and lateral planes resulting in a more even sound field and the elimination of the minimum listening distance inherent in vertically- or horizontally-stacked driver designs
The dispersion patterns differ for each model, getting tighter as you go up the range; the XT-08 is 100° (conical), the XT-12 is 60° x 90° and the XT-15 HiQ is 40° x 60° – the latter two achieving their tighter patterns as a result of a brand new ellipsoid waveguide. All three models also feature laminar vented ports, which reduce the turbulence and port noise at high levels thus increasing low frequency efficiency.
There are a bewilderingly wide range of mounting options, which should accommodate just about any positioning imaginable. These include pole mounts, clamps, wall brackets and U brackets, all of which enable precise and rigid mounting to ensure they stay where you put them and continue to address the precise region you decide. The XT-12 and XT-15 HiQ also include integral risers, which hinge out such that when they’re deployed on the floor their angle, with respect to the vertical, can be changed from 35° to 55°.
All models generate impressive SPLs for their size, thanks to neodymium magnets, ranging from 129dB in the XT-08 to 136dB in the XT-12 and 138dB in the XT-15 HiQ . As the level increases they maintain an impressively consistent sound well into almost uncomfortably loud levels.
